Droidz’land is a short movie project that I’ve been running since late summer 2003. I’ve worked hard on the movie for a couple of years, then I put it on hold because at some point I decided to enroll to Animation Mentor and I attended it for a year. Just a few months after I finished AM I went to work on an italian feature film for an other year. Since those days the movie has slowly turned in some kind of personal digital cinematography training facility. The plot has been fully revised at least three times, re-storyboarded accordingly and an entire animated sequence has been discarded to match my current skills. Actually the 4 opening shots are fully rendered and composited. The light sets and rendering/compositing pipeline are set. The next stage of production is laying out the shots to be animated. As soon as possible you’ll get a sneak peak of how Droidz’land looks like.
